Photo Information

For the past few years, Bob Lichtenberg, father of defensive Coordinator Keith, has taken pictures during the games and has made them available to the players at the end of the year. This year after each game, Bob's photo's will be loaded on this site.

Click on the "Schedule and Results" tab and there will be a link for photo's for each game. You will be able to download the pictures and save them, print from home or bring them to a photo shop. Getting photos in this manner represents a material savings vs. ordering them from newspapers. Bob is one of many DGN football volunteers whose work assists in coaching as well as enriching the players football experience. Other  volunteer's who's work  gets overlooked are Jim Isaacson and Bob White.

Jim is the father of Assistant Coach and former Trojan player Chad Isaacson. Jim has been videotaping the games from the Pressbox for over 25 years when Chad was playing for the Trojans. How amazing is that???

Bob White has taped the games from the endzone camera since it was purchased in 2004. Bob is the father in law of Head Coach John Wander. Bob stands in the end zone, rain or shine and tapes the games.

All of these men were not born yesterday, if you know what I mean...Their commitment to the Football Program is a far cry from the life of leisure many retiree's enjoy.  Thanks guys.

            LOCKPORT RECAP

After falling behind quickly in a lightning suspended game Friday, the Trojans quickly took controll of the game Saturday evening. The offensive line created holes that allowed the Trojans to rush for over 300 yards. Dave Edwards had 177 yrads on the ground and three touchdowns.  Francis Kowara's blocks help spring big runs for the Trojans.

The Trojan defense was led by Senior EJ Philips who dominated the line of scrimage. His performance was especially impressive given he was often being double and triple teamed and playing with an injured shoulder. Michael Prochazka, a Senior 2nd year starter, led a young secondary and had several big hits.

Senior running back Robby Istanbouli left the game with a shoulder injury.

HINSDALE SOUTH RECAP

In a game played in the rain in Darien, a costly turnover in the redzone allowed the Hornets to score the only points of the game for a 6-0 win.

The Hornets defense created problems for the Trojans.  DGN was unable to get their veer-option attack on track.

Defensively the Trojans played very well, giving up only one  touchdown on a short field.

Quarterback Dave Edwards injured his knee late in the game and did not return as the Trojans were driving.

GLENBARD WEST RECAP

                                Let's move on.

OPRF RECAP

Thr turning point in the game occured when after falling behind 7-0, the Trojans mounted a long drive in the second quarter which ended  ended with an errant pitch that was returned for a touchdown.

DGN needed to play error free against a very talented OPRF squad and just couldn't compete at that level.

LT RECAP

The Trojans tried their best to spoil LT's Homecoming but came up short.

Just when DGn looked like they would get back in it something misfired. In the second half LT finally began to give the ball to their Division 1 running back and the Trojans couldn't answer.

DGS RECAP

It is tough losing a rivalry game. The Trojans needed some breaks to beat South and didn't get them.

The boys effort was good and will need big efforts in the next few games.

YORK RECAP

The game was never in doubt. The Trojans jumped ahead 13-0 at halftime and the cruised to an easy win.

The offensive line open holes for Ken Yeo and Spencer Carr which allowed the Trojans who only punted once, to control both the scorebaord and the clock.

The defense, led by EJ Philips kept York in check by dominating the line of scrimage.

Some Sophomores were added to the starting lineup and made nice contributions.

Dave Edwards left the game after reinjuring his left knee.

PROVISO RECAP

Hey Hey!!!...two in a row. The Trojan defense stopped Proviso cold.  Francis Kowara was a solid tackler all night. Brandon Bancoro had a key interception.  The Trojan defense is loaded with Juniors and Sophomores that lead to optimism for next year.

Om offense, Kenny Yeo guided the Trojans and put them on the board with a long touchdown run. Kowara and Spencer Carr, who scored the winning touchdown, also played very well. Like the defense, youth is obvious on offense as well.
